Fashion Workshops and Events in Abingdon
What a year so far! And to think we launched our first Fashion Workshops in Abingdon In January, with Upcycle Kids & Youths. I am blown away by our young peoples creativity and magic, so much so I feel its a great opportunity to acknowledge all we have done so far, as well as share with you our exciting plans for this coming Autumn Winter term.
Our creative sustainable fashion workshops are first and foremost about creating a space and community where our young people can be themselves and celebrate their uniqueness. A place to build confidence and friendships. And looking back on the last 6 months fills me with gratitude and joy - with having such an incredible group of talent and wonder.
On top of this the kindness they have all shown to each other and how much each one of them embraces their uniqueness and the young people around them.

Fashion Pop UP Event
This will be a space where our young people can showcase and possible sell their up-cycled pieces, as well as our wonderful adults being able to shop pre-loved Vintage sparkle and amazing coats! So watch this space…
With the Fashion Pop-up in mind our Monthly Up-cycle Kids workshops will be geared up towards creating for this, as well as our weekly Up-cycle Youths! We will look at how we present our pieces and visions of what a collection could be, as well as a little introduction into branding and the fashion industry we are hoping to change in a sustainable way. Focusing on creative sustainable fashion.
The last Up-cycle Kids workshop on the 7th December will give our young people the opportunity to set up and learn how we organised an event, and will be part of the Fashion Pop-Up If they choose!
Join us for a fun-filled 2 hours of creativity and sustainability at the Fashion Up-cycle Kids Workshop in Abingdon. This sustainable in-person event will take place once a month on a Saturday 9am-11am at The Charter Studios, located on Broad Street in Abingdon, UK
We have the following dates for Autumn Winter term:

This event is for Ages 6-10
Each group is kept small and encourages SEN. We aim to keep to 6 young people, therefore often there is limited availability.
At this workshop, our young people will learn the art of upcycling and discover how to transform everyday clothes into something new and exciting.
With a focus on environmental awareness, the Up-cycle Kids Workshop aims to inspire young minds to think creatively and make a positive impact on the planet. By repurposing items that would otherwise go to waste, children will learn the importance of sustainability and develop a sense of pride in their creations.

Join us for a fun-filled hour of creativity and sustainability at the Fashion Up-cycle Youths Workshop. This in-person event will take place weekly from Thurs September 12th at 16:00 GMTat The Charter Studios, located on Broad Street in Abingdon, Oxfordshire UK.
This event is for Ages 11-16
At this workshop in Abingdon, our young people will develop their skills and ideas in upcycling and fashion and discover how to transform everyday clothes into something new and exciting. This group is a step up from the Upcycle kids, where we encourage sewing skills and offering in depth knowledge into how we can use our creativity and develop our passions for the future.

Our first fashion day went down so well we have decided to offer them seasonally! And what’s even better is that our young people choose the themes!
Our Fashion Days offer a different perspective to shopping and share the skills of being resourceful and kind to the planet, but most importantly give our young people a way to create their own style and personality.
Saturday 26th October
Starting off with our charity shop haul, we will then create our Autumn Cosy outfits.
