How Abingdon’s Creative Community Is Blossoming in March: Re-Imagining Fashion & Inspiring Programmes

Spring Creativity & Community Updates

As the days get warmer, there's a renewed energy in the air, and I'm excited to share some creative projects and upcoming events with you!

Woodstock Artisan Collective Feature

The Woodstock Artisan Collective was recently featured in OX in a Box, shining a light on the incredible talent within this community. I'll be showcasing my brand-new spring collection at the next Artisan Collective on May 17th at Woodstock Town Hall. It's always a fantastic event full of creativity and connection, so if you're in the area, come and say hello!

Thameside School Arts Residency

The arts residency at Thameside School has been a wonderful experience. We've hosted a series of workshops where students have been exploring how art can shape their surroundings. Every child at the school will have the chance to take part, contributing to creative projects for the new playground. The younger children have also been getting hands-on in forest school workshops, crafting seed and clay ‘flower fireworks’ to bring a little more nature into their space.

Creative Me Update

The young people in 'Creative Me' have been working on their re-imagined prom dresses, which will soon be part of the Madrina window display. Next up, we'll be focusing on the visual merchandising and prop design to bring it all together.

Clothes Swap at Thameside School

In support of Mental Health Awareness Week, Mental Health Natters is hosting a clothes swap event at Thameside Primary School. I'm excited to be supporting this initiative alongside the 'Creative Me' group, promoting sustainability while also raising awareness around mental health.Save the date: Thursday 15th May

More Creativity Coming Soon

I've been back in creating mode, working on some fresh, re-imagined pieces for spring. There’s something really special about seeing new designs come to life, and I can't wait to share them with you soon!

Exciting Opportunity!

A brand-new series of workshops is coming up, and I'm thrilled to offer an exclusive first chance to be part of them to the creative community before they go live to the public, if you haven't sign up already here is the link. These workshops are fully funded, making them an incredible opportunity to explore creativity in new ways. Stay tuned for more details—newsletter subscribers will be the first to know!
