Creative Me Programme, Art Residencies & New Opportunities

As we step into 2025, Life Styling and Life Space Project are embarking on a year filled with creative growth, community connection, and empowering opportunities. We’re excited to share the highlights of our upcoming projects, including the continuation of the Creative Me Programme, our art residencies in Oxfordshire, and our commitment to fostering youth empowerment through creativity.

Creative Me Programme: Empowering Youth through Creativity

This term, our group is taking on an exciting project: the Madrina Window Display. Madrina is a charity that provides free prom dresses to young people, ensuring everyone can feel special on their big day. Together, we’re designing a window display to reflect Madrina’s inclusive and empowering mission. Of course, as part of our commitment to sustainability, we will be upcycling and re-imagining a ball gown or suit, adding our creative touch to empower the pieces and make them truly one-of-a-kind.

At the heart of our work is the Creative Me Programme, which continues to inspire young people to express themselves through sustainable art and creative mentoring.

The Creative Me Programme isn’t just about art—it’s about giving young people the tools to express their identity, develop valuable life skills, and connect with like-minded individuals. The program focuses on creative development, sustainability, and self-expression, all while fostering a strong sense of community.

While our current group is full, we are always looking to expand and welcome new members. If you’re interested in knowing more or would like to be added to the interest group, please email Jess at info@life-styling.co.uk.

Art Residency at Thameside School and Cotman Close Park

We are also thrilled to announce an upcoming art residency with Thameside School, where we will be working with students to create art that transforms Cotman Close Park into a vibrant and inclusive space, as the park gets a whole new life with new equipment. This residency is a collaboration with the local council and is part of our larger mission to create welcoming spaces that celebrate diversity through art projects.

The goal of this residency is to engage the community, particularly young people, and give them the opportunity to contribute to a creative public space that reflects their collective identity. It’s an exciting venture that showcases the power of community-driven creative projects and the importance of art in public spaces.

Artist in Residence at Didcot Hospital

We’re also excited to share that we are working on an art residency at Didcot Hospital, as part of Oxfordshire Health. This initiative will see us bringing upcycled art projects into the hospital environment, with the aim of improving the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.

Our approach to this residency is rooted in sustainable art and aims to show how creativity can be a powerful tool for healing. The artwork will be designed with the intent to uplift and connect the hospital community, fostering a more welcoming and calming atmosphere.

In addition to this, we will be hosting a vision board workshop with the Me Time group as part of our collaboration with Mental Health Natters. This workshop will focus on mental well-being and personal growth, allowing participants to reflect on their goals, dreams, and aspirations. It’s an opportunity to tap into the power of creativity as a tool for mental health and self-care.

Leaving Social Media: Staying Connected through Our WhatsApp Community

As we move away from social media, we’re focusing on building deeper, more meaningful connections within our community. One of the key ways we’re doing this is by inviting people to join our WhatsApp groups. These groups will serve as spaces for creatives to connect, share opportunities, and stay updated on exciting projects like the Creative Me Program and our upcoming workshops.
We’re creating several groups, including ones focused on sustainable style, youth creative programs, and exclusive opportunities. By joining, you’ll gain access to unique updates, be the first to know about upcoming events, and connect with a network of like-minded individuals.
To join the WhatsApp community, simply email Jess at info@life-styling.co.uk and we’ll add you to the appropriate group.

Exciting Opportunities for 2025

As we look ahead to the rest of 2025, we’re excited to continue offering opportunities for creative expression and community connection. From creative workshops and mentorship programs to art residencies and public art projects, we are committed to fostering an environment where creativity can thrive.
Additionally, we’ll be sharing a downloadable creative planner exclusively for our community members to help you organize your projects, track your goals, and stay inspired. Stay tuned for updates, and don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter to access this and other exclusive content!

Want to Stay Connected?

If you’re passionate about sustainable art, youth empowerment, and being part of a creative community, don’t miss out on joining our WhatsApp community and keeping up with our projects. You’ll receive updates on workshops, new initiatives, and exclusive opportunities to get involved.
